After 2-3 days these flu-like symptoms disappear. Just as the person is starting to feel better, a rash starts to appear on his/her body. It begins in the face and later spreads to the rest of the body, especially the hands, forearms, legs, and mouth. The rash develops into lumps that start to fill with liquid and pus. After some time they break open, scab over, and fall off.
